Meet the Doctors

Kelsey McDonald, DO

Dr Kelsey McDonald is a board certified osteopathic family medicine physician with over 8 years of clinical experience. She is the founder and primary provider at Coastline Direct Primary Care. She knew she wanted to be a physician and serve the community she lived in since she was a young child.  Upon graduating from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine she paired her interests and goals and chose a career in family medicine.  Dr McDonald loves the variety of patient care visits she sees. She appreciates challenging clinical cases and enjoys in office hands on procedures.  Her greatest passion, however, is in prevention of chronic disease and promotion of health and wellness. Dr McDonald understands that each patient is unique and therefore their treatment plan should be as well.

While Dr McDonald enjoys full spectrum family medicine (without obstetrics) she has particular interests in adolescent care, women's health, as well as obesity and lifestyle medicine. She has also had the privilege to develop an interest in caring for older adults and people at end of life.  While in college she provided home health and hospice care in her community and as a physician she understands the importance of patient autonomy, goals of care discussions and the complexity of care needs during this time. In addition, in 2019, Dr McDonald lost her brother Bryce to a drug overdose after a long battle with depression and a substance use disorder; she therefore has a unique space in her heart for people struggling with mental illness, substance use disorders and works diligently to create a safe space for them and their loved ones.

Over the last 5 years of her clinical practice, providing the quality care she prides herself on has become increasingly difficult. The inefficiencies in the traditional insurance based health care system often lead to delayed and fragmented care which affect both patient and provider experience and may lead to adverse health outcomes. Dr McDonald is excited and optimistic about transitioning to the direct primary care model. She feels this model will allow her to provide exceptional, affordable and timely care.

When not working, she loves to spend time with her husband John, a Scarborough native and their young children Grant & Grace.  As a family, they love to ski, hike, garden & travel.

Erin Oakley, DO

Coming September 2025!! Reach out now to secure your membership with pre-enrollment!

Dr. Erin Oakley is a board-certified family medicine physician who has been caring for patients since 2016. Her passion for family medicine began early—growing up with her father, an osteopathic family physician, she spent her childhood shadowing him in the office, on hospital rounds, and during home visits. These early experiences shaped her understanding of the deep connection between physician and patient and the powerful impact that relationship can have on health and healing.

During her medical training, Dr. Oakley explored various specialties but consistently returned to family medicine. She was drawn to the continuity of care, the variety each day brings, and the opportunity to partner with patients across all stages of life. As an osteopathic physician, she is deeply committed to the holistic principles of osteopathic medicine: viewing the body as an integrated whole, recognizing its natural ability to heal, and honoring the vital link between structure and function. These beliefs guide her approach to care, grounded in evidence-based medicine and a personal, hands-on connection with each patient.

After completing residency, Dr. Oakley worked in a traditional fee-for-service outpatient clinic. Over time, she found the system increasingly at odds with her values—encouraging hurried visits and limiting the ability to build meaningful relationships with patients. Despite her best efforts to deliver high-quality care, she often found herself sacrificing family time to meet the demands of the system.

That experience led her to Direct Primary Care (DPC)—a model that realigns healthcare with what matters most: time, trust, and access. Dr. Oakley met Dr. McDonald during their previous work together, and they quickly bonded over a shared vision of what truly patient-centered, high-quality healthcare should look like. Dr. Oakley is excited to join Coastline DPC where she can offer longer appointments, timely access, transparent pricing, and most importantly, a strong doctor-patient relationship built on trust and continuity.

Direct Primary Care isn’t just a different model—it’s a better one. It puts patients first by removing the barriers of traditional insurance-based systems and focusing on what truly matters: personal, proactive, and meaningful care. For Dr. Oakley, it’s a return to the heart of medicine.

Dr. Oakley is originally from a small town located in the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate NY. While not working, she enjoys family time with her husband (Grant), children (Abe and Perry) and her two dogs (Gatsby and Mowgli). She enjoys outdoor activities and, more recently, pickleball!
